ELECTRIC series boss Nicolas Goubert has moved to assure fans of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup that bikes will be ready to go at the end of this month.
The news comes just days after championship bosses revealed a three-day test at Valencia next month as teams continues to prepare for their revised 2019 race programme following the Jerez paddock fire in March.
But after a meeting with fellow MotoE organisers and suppliers, series director Goubert has confirmed the new one-make Energica Ego Corsas are being readied and will be set to go in just a few weeks’ time.
“We haven’t had a meeting with the MotoE representatives for more than two months, so it was time to tell them how we are going forward, what’s the situation and what we’re going to do in the next couple of months,” he revealed.
“When you have a cup, it means everyone has got the same materials. It means that all the suppliers involved have to supply everything for all the bikes, so it’s quite hard work. We were very happy to see that all of them were motivated.
“The bikes will be ready before the end of May.”
