AMERICAN bike maker Curtiss says their new top-drawer model, scheduled for a 2020 release, will have world-firsts on board as it breaks cover today.
Inspired by the company namesake’s land speed record-setting 1907 V8 motorcycle, which Glen Curtiss reached 136.3mph on, the Hera utilises a proprietary battery and electronics architecture, complete with eight cylinders of high-density lithium-ion batteries.
The new model is said to deliver even greater speed than its record-setting predecessor, but in a more luxurious package with a longer wheelbase and lower stance, which looks to be giving a nod to classic USA road biking.
“With the Hera, we set out to create the world’s most luxurious motorcycle,” said Curtiss Chairman and CEO.
“Featuring the world’s first V8 battery architecture, an ultra-powerful, yet refined, E-Twin motor, and a 66-inch wheelbase, Hera will occupy a class all her own.”
Pricing and specifications for the Hera are due in the coming weeks.
