NIKI Tuuli launched to the top of the times this morning to lead the first FIM Enel MotoE World Cup practice at Misano by less than a tenth of a second.
And while the Ajo Motorsport rider was only 0.098sec clear of Matteo Ferrari, the top 10 riders were covered by little more than half a second as electric ation got underway for the Octo Grand Prix of San Marino.
Tuuli’s 1:45.071 half-way through his FP1 stint was good enough to top the times ahead of Trentino Gresini’s Ferrari, with Avintia Esponsorama man Eric Granado an equal distance further back in third.
Tech 3 E-Racing rider Hector Garzo was less than 0.050sec adrift in fourth with Belgian Xavier Simeon and Dynavolt Intact’s Jesko Raffin ending in a tight fight for fifth and sixth, separated by just 0.006sec.
EG 0,0 Marc VDS’ Red Bull Ring winner Mike Di Meglio had to settle for seventh ahead of One Energy Racing’s Brit Bradley Smith while LCR ace Niccolo Canepa and Sic Squadra Corsa’s Mattia Casadei rounded out the top 10.
