ELECTRIC motorcycle maker Newron Motors has revealed its plans to join forces with Advans Group in a bid to create a bike-specific software toolset.
The engineering firm, which works primarily in hardware, software and mechanical engineering roles for aerospace customers such as Safran, Thales and Airbus, will be working with the motorbike manufacturers to develop a new UX system, fast charging, 4G connectivity, a digital dashboard, an app and much more.
Ahead of Newron’s first batch of motorcycle production, slated for 2020 with an initial quantity of 12 bikes, Advan’s R&D and Innovation Director Frédéric Onado believes the company will make perfect partners to pave the road ahead for their long-term electric plans.
“We have fully entered the era of electric vehicles with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy dependency and improving urban air quality,” Onado said.
“Newron Motors offers an answer to these challenges while maintaining an uncompromising user experience with a bike proposing a strong image and character. It is a great project, and we are passionate about the associated technological stakes (electronics, embedded software, the communication interface, AI) inside the ADVANS Group.”
